Dream but not journal, why?!?!?

Sis in Midlife,
The REAL reasons you are NOT journaling???
Most of us are busy living life and very few of us are journaling our life. Some of us have journaled as a teen but most of us think it's not for our midlife years.
Dead wrong!
You need to journal so you (and future generations) can remember all the things God has done and said in the past few decades of your life as a guide for what He is still doing and saying.
Truth is sis, you cannot afford NOT to journal. God is sharing so many amazing and wonderful things, secrets and news with you and you are NOT fully experiencing them if you don't even journal them.
So let me shed some TRUTH to help you become judicious with your journaling jollification🧐🤓

On a serious note, here are 4 reasons most women in midlife do not journal (and 4 tips to help overcome those EXCUSES- p.s. I love the last tip!).
Reason and Tip #1
You don't journal because ... you don't know how.
Let me simplify journaling so it can forever be UNcomplicated.
If something stirs your heart, makes you think, is emotive or gets you curious...then you need to write it down cos you will NOT remember it otherwise. Record it because it may be God's way of communicating to you. As much as you are praying, asking and knocking on Heaven's door. why would you not want to remember His response and reactions?
Reason and Tip #2
You don't journal because ... you don't have time and/or you always forget.
Sis, you don't have to journal every single day but you should practice self-care weekly.
Journaling as you reflect on your words, behaviors, thoughts, reactions, goals, progress and acts of love can be a very therapeutic act of self-care. To start, shoot for 5 entries in a month.
Reason and Tip #3
You don't journal because ... you don't know who might read your journal.
True! But why not intentionally journal AS IF you expect your kids to read your words in the future.
Addressing your words to a specific person takes the pressure of "fear of intrusion." I personally, try to make my writing legible and pretend I am writing to my daughters so that they follow along and get an intimate view on how I journey with God.
Imagine Tamar reading Kind David's journal or Rahab's daughter reading her journal?
What a legacy and gift?
Reason and Tip #4
You don't journal because ... you don't own a journal.
Sis, I gotchu.
Imagine a journal packed with thought-provoking questions to help you review who you are becoming as you walk with God. It also has bible verses, adult-coloring pages, monthly dream calendar & much more.
How do you get a hold of that journal???
Grab your copy of Mzimalife's "Arise Beloved" journal and elevate your time with God in 3 easy steps.
1) Email [email protected],
2) Pick which journal style you want,
3) Pay and get it delivered same-day (for Nairobi residents).
I am praying that you do make time for your weekly self-care and journal at least once a week. Future generations will gratefully call you blessed.
With God's abundant blessing,
Dr Bola
